Camilla Update

So many of our friends and family have been calling and asking and anxiously awaiting -along with us- for a date for Camilla's upcoming VNS placement surgery. I just got the news today and figured this would be an easy way to let you guys know that it will be February 24th at Children's Hospital in Birmingham. Also, we have scheduled an appointment with a doc who is known for his work in helping children overcome developmental disabilities as a result of vaccinations, through biomedical interventions. That appointment is set for March 16th in Nashville. Please keep our sweet, little girl in your thoughts and prayers as she endures this upcoming surgery and the tests and traveling that will come with both visits. Please help us in praying that these interventions will work to stop her seizures and advance her development. Thanks for your concern-

Tigers, Acrobats and Clowns, Oh My!

Last Saturday we (the whole family) took Camilla to the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus in Birmingham. The show was Zing Zang Zoom and it really was the 'greatest show on earth.' We ALL had a blast, Camilla especially! She got to go to the kids pre-show and try on costumes and play with the funny mirrors, she also got to try many new foods that day including icees, cotton candy, coke, etc... The show really did keep her attention, she loved the animals, fireworks and people flying across the civic center. By the end of the day we were all pooped, especially Camilla (check the last pic)!

My Birthday Cake!

Last Friday was my 29th birthday;) and we spent it Birmingham with Kirk, Brandi and Stephen. We went to dinner at Brio where they surprised me with this awesome cake. After dinner we went to see 'The Molly Ringwalds,' a really cool 80's cover band. Be sure to check out the costumes on these guys. All of the 80's characters are there - Peewee Herman, the Karate Kid, Dee Snider (Twisted Sister) and one of the guys from Devo ('Whip It'). I had a wonderful b'day celebration!

Happy Birthday to both of us!!!

Last weekend Jennifer and I took a GREAT mini-vaca to Atlanta! We had soooo much fun for her birthday (December 28) and my birthday (January 30)! We got to the CNN Center/Omni Hotel on Saturday and rested and then went to Two Urban Licks for supper. The next day our spa appointments (massages, facials, etc...)began at 12:00 noon and finished somewhere around 4:00 - talk about RELAXED. Then we got ready and headed to the 'Dancing with the Stars' show - it was so much fun to see the stars but we are bigger fans of the proffessional dancers. We got to see our favorie dancers like Max, Derek, Mark, Cheryl, etc... but we also got to see Lance Bass sing Bye, Bye, Bye, and Toni Braxton sang several (see video). After that show we found out that two of our favorite dancers Derek Hough and Mark Ballas (Ballas Hough Band)were playing at Hard Rock which was only 2 blocks from where we were staying! We went to see them and they were awesome. We got to talk with them and get pics with them and they signed my shirt ;) They were really cool and I can't wait till their cd comes out in March! Hotlanta is so much fun!!!

Videos from ATL--

The first one is for Cici - I couldn't get 'Breathe Again' to upload - sorry:(
